Jeff Hommes Memorial Pond

The Jeff Hommes Memorial Pond is an artificial pond originally created by Tony Wise when he built Telemark Lodge. The original pond has been rehabilitated thanks to the Hommes family for winter skating and summer enjoyment. It’s the perfect size for pond hockey!

The family and friends of Jeffrey John Hommes (1967-2024) celebrate his life by naming this pond in his memory. Keeping Jeff’s legacy and influence alive is exemplified by these calls to action which he practiced: Make each day a living day! Make a difference in someone’s life. Always strive to do better, learn something new, and inspire someone with your kindness.

Jeff embraced adventures and challenges. He was humble, quick-witted, funny, and generous. He excelled in his career in financial services at Wells Fargo and shared his talents in retirement with the American Birkebeiner Ski Foundation and St. Patrick’s parish in Hudson, WI. He enjoyed biking, cross-country skiing, fishing, golfing, watching sports, coaching, mentoring, bee keeping,  syrup making, cooking and making amazing wood fired pizzas. His most treasured gifts and experiences were time with his wife Beth, his children, grandchildren, family and friends. Together, they shared great joy at their lake home in Barnes, WI. He is forever remembered and loved!
