Request for Proposal

The American Birkebeiner Ski Foundation is currently seeking design proposals for the 2025 51st American Birkebeiner poster.

Over the past 50 years, this iconic race has always carried with it iconic imagery. As we moved into the next 50 years of the American Birkebeiner, this year‘s design needs to embody that movement forward into the future. The color of palette with which you’ll be required to work with reflects that boldness and vibrancy as we move into the future.

While completed designs are not necessary for this proposal, any sketches, drafts, or previous works / portfolios included with your submission will greatly benefit your proposal in our selection process.

Graphical elements from the poster will be used in American Birkebeiner merchandising and appropriate licensing from the artist will be obtained. Applications of the poster design will include digital print scaled to 20×30 and 11×17, screen print on clothing, and direct print on retail goods such as mugs and magnets.
