Be a part of Hayward’s legendary summer celebration, the Lumberjack World Championships by racing 5K!

Start and finish at the Lumberjack Bowl, home of the Lumberjack World Championships. Tour the streets of Hayward on a fast and fun course that is great for running, walking, or both.

Registration Fee

• Ages 18 and over on race day:
  • $35 – April 5 through June 13
  • $40 – June 14 through July 29
  • $45 – July 30 through August 3 (race day)- online only
• Ages 17 and under: $20 through race day
• Register now to reserve a shirt and size!
• For late registrations, t-shirts and/or sizes may not be available

Pre-register before you leave home!  No on-site registration available.

Getting There

Event parking can be found behind American Marine – Hayward, across from HWY B from the Lumberjack Bowl and the Lumberjack Village.

Note: There is NO street parking near the Lumberjack Bowl. Please obey all parking signs on the streets and area-businesses.

Bib Pickup

• Bib pick-up will be available at the Birkie Office/Store, Hayward, WI, on Friday, July 29, from 4pm-7pm.
• Saturday, race day pickup is from 7am-8am at Lumberjack Bowl.
• Pre-register before you leave home! No on-site registration available.

Race Etiquette

• Be mindful of participants around you, and cheer on your fellow Lumberjacks and Jills!
• The City of Hayward Police Department will be controlling traffic on the HWY B crossings. Please use caution when crossing roads.
• Strollers are allowed on the course, please note there is one trail section that is sandy. 
• Dogs are allowed on the course, we ask that you please keep them on a leash and pick-up after your pup!

The top male, top female and one lucky finisher (drawn at random) will win a free entry to any individual Birkie event!

Channel your flannel to the next level during your 5k! The participants with the best Lumberjack and Lumberjill costume will also be awarded a free entry to any individual Birkie event!
